City Tour
We will take you sightseeing to the capital city Banjul and her surroundings towns. Places to be visited will include the National Museum, Albert market, the Central Mosque and the crocodile pond in Bakau. We will also visit a craft market where you can buy local art, masks and handmade clothing. An ideal day to brush shoulders with the friendly locals, meanwhile discovering the sheer delights the country has to offer.
Gambian for a Day
Experience the life of a Gambian for a day. Visit one of the most popular local market and see the daily hustle and bustle of the local women in the market, who are trying to make their daily living. We will do our own shopping there for late afternoon lunch we will eat later. On our way to our final destination we will visit several neighboring villages and visit the compound of a local traditional herbalist. He is known to have cured a large variety of illnesses and afflictions by administering all-natural medication made of a combination of herbs, leaves, bark and roots grown in his own botanical garden. ⓘ The ladies in the compound, wearing African style dresses, will start preparing the lunch of the day with the groceries you bought at the market. Feel free to join them while cooking with the charcoal pots or open fire.
